Merchant guide

Tab's merchant surface — everything a seller needs to take stablecoin payments in person, online, on a recurring schedule, or through an invoice. This page is the map; each section links to a focused walkthrough.

Two modes, one wallet

Toggle between Personal and Merchant from the dashboard header. Personal is the slim view (receipts, OpenTab, subscriptions). Merchant adds POS, products, invoices, customers, campaigns, analytics. Same wallet, same handle, same on-chain identity — just a different sidebar.

Take payments in person

  • POS terminal — numpad + product grid → QR. Buyer scans, pays, your screen flips green. Read more →
  • Scan to Pay — the buyer-side equivalent: open the PWA, point the camera, checkout opens. Read more →

Take payments online

  • Payment links — a hosted thetab.bar/pay/… URL anyone can settle from. Read more →
  • Invoices — line items, due date, customer email. One outgoing link, full paper trail. Read more →
  • OpenTab— lock funds for a recipient who hasn't signed up yet. They claim once they onboard; you refund after the deadline if not. Read more →

Recurring revenue

  • Subscriptions — publish a plan, share a link, Tab settles each period. Backed by TabSubscriptionRouter. Read more →

Bulk payouts

  • Campaign payouts — distribute a fixed amount across a list of Tab handles. Sponsor approves once, Tab dispatches each payout, contract dedups per (campaign, recipient) so reruns are safe. Read more →

Receipts and reconciliation

Every payment in or out of your handle shows up in the Receipts dashboard — orders, escrow claims, subscription charges, grants — with the explorer tx link for independent verification. Email receipts are opt-in from /dashboard/settings.

Customers and products

Lightweight CRM lives under Customers — tag, note, search. The Products tab feeds the POS Quick Add grid.

Analytics

Stat cards (volume, count, distinct payers), a 14-day inline bar chart, and breakdowns by status / chain. Pure on-chain derivation — nothing tracked off-chain that the dashboard can't prove.

Bots

TabBot listens for /send, /tip, and /split in your Telegram or Discord community. Reply text includes the exact fee and a tx hash for verification. Read more →
