Tab charges a flat 1% on every settled payment, taken on-chain at the moment of settlement. No monthly subscription, no per-API-call fee, no markup on gas, no hidden 'on-ramp' fee. Same rate on every supported chain.

On every settled order, OpenTab claim, subscription charge, bot transfer, and campaign grant. Capped at 5% by the contract — admin can never raise it past that.
Gas
Covered
On Base, BSC, Ink, and Celo, Tab pays the network fee for your buyer. The cost comes out of our 1% — buyers never need to hold the chain's native token.
API
Free
No per-request charge for the REST API, the Agent SDK, the bots, or the webhooks. Rate-limited per key but never billed.
What that 1% covers
- Hosted checkout pages and the public
/pay/…URL. - Network fees on every supported chain — we cover gas for buyers.
- Real-time webhooks: your endpoint hears about a payment within two seconds of it settling.
- OpenTab claims released the moment the recipient signs up.
- Subscriptions charged automatically every period.
- Receipts dashboard, exports, and optional email receipts.
- Per-key rate-limiting, idempotency, and abuse protection.
What you still pay yourself
- Custom on-chain actions you initiate from your wallet — e.g. creating an OpenTab, publishing a subscription plan, activating a campaign, approving the router. Network gas only.
- Across bridge feesif your buyer uses Fund From Anywhere. That goes to Across's relayers, not Tab.
- Stablecoin issuer fees on USDC / USDT / cUSD if you off-ramp. Tab settles in the same token the buyer paid in.
Cost protection
Predictable bill, no runaway costs: per-key rate-limiting, idempotency keys on every write, request size caps, and protection against outbound abuse. See rate-limiting docs for the limits per tier.
